Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only child of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the world of show business early, and ended up performing lead roles in various TV dramas before she was sixteen. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film), was critically and highly rated commercially. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. In the past, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. Some of these include the British biographical film Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She was also part of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
